Visa Application

The 2023 TAPPI Nanotechnology Conference will be hosted in Vancouver, Canada. Please visit the Government of Canada website for official information about applying for a visa. Additional helpful resources are also provided below:

If a “Letter of Invitation” is required for your travels, please refer to the steps below to obtain this document from TAPPI. Invitation letters will only be issued to registered attendees, accepted presenters, or paid sponsors/exhibitors.

 To apply for a visa you need the following

1. 1. All Conference Presenters, Attendees, or Exhibitors, please provide the following information:
      • Registration receipt for the conference/course you are attending.
      • Name of passport holder
      • Male or female
      • Passport number
      • Expiration date of passport
      • Date of birth
      • Company name and address
      • E-mail address of attendee or exhibitor 
      • Expected travel dates.
      • Company funding the attendance (this is usually the attendee’s employer or an educational facility)  

    

   2. This information should be sent to TAPPI’s Member Connection Center either by email to [email protected]or via fax +1 240-396-5973.

    

   3. All letters of invitation will be sent in pdf format via email. Print it to include in your documentation package for obtaining your visa. Should an original copy of the letter be necessary, the attendee should request this with the information provided above along with a physical mailing address.

   Cancellation Policy:

   • Cancelled registrations may be eligible for a refund in accordance to our Cancellation and Refund policy.
   • If a legitimate attendee's visa is denied, TAPPI will refund according to our Cancellation and Refund policy.
   • The invitation letter does not financially obligate TAPPI Nano in any way. All expenses incurred in relation to the 2023 TAPPI Nanotechnology Conference are the sole responsibility of the attendee.
   • Those who have already received visa support letters and cancel their registration before the conference date will have their visa support letter revoked. The Canadian Immigration Office will be notified of all cancelled registrations and all visa support documents provided by TAPPI will be retracted. Upon registration cancellation, TAPPI will no longer support an individual attempting to gain entry into the host country to attend the TAPPI Nanotechnology Conference.
